FACTION was conceived as a sub-brand under Fahad Hussayn, built to explore ideas beyond traditional couture. The objective was not to extend the heritage codes of the parent label, but to introduce a visual identity bold enough to hold its own. In a South Asian luxury fashion landscape dominated by decorative typography and classical motifs, FACTION needed a different language entirely. Sharper. Structurally stronger. Built for unconventional silhouettes and statement dressing not ornament. The result is a wordmark engineered like architecture: angular letterforms, dimensional chrome finish, and a presence that reflects its environment rather than retreating into it.

2022 was the moment dimensional typography and digital aesthetics were resurging across fashion and design. The temptation was to ride the trend. The decision was not to chase aesthetics that would expire by the following season was the opposite of what FACTION needed.
Instead, the approach started from materiality. Chrome has a long visual history in both fashion and graphic design; it signals strength, futurism, and a kind of confidence that does not need to announce itself. It reflects its environment, which means the identity becomes dynamic rather than static. That became the foundation. A typographic identity built like architecture angular letterforms echoing the tailoring of the garments, dimensional finish reinforcing that this is not soft branding. Sharp. Sculptural. Intentional.
The final FACTION identity stands apart from conventional fashion branding in the region. It carries on the runway. It holds up on social. It reads as confidently in motion as it does on a printed lookbook.
More than branding a sub-label, the project translated Fahad Hussayn’s design mindset into a visual form one that communicates experimentation without noise, and boldness without excess. FACTION now operates as a distinct creative space within the parent label, with the visual identity doing exactly what it was built to do: signalling intent before a single garment is seen.
